Norway has applied for observer status in two European infrastructure projects, ESS and CLARIN, as reported by the Research Council. This means that Norway can participate in CLARIN committees. Norway will also have a representative at the National Coordinators Forum, but without a vote until Norway can become a full member of the CLARIN ERIC. […] Under the title CLARIN INTEGRATION CONFERENCE, the first encompassing internal meeting of the CLARIN ERIC is held at Sofia, Bulgaria from Oct. 26 to 28, 2012. Norway is represented by Anders Nøklestad, Freddy Wetjen and Koenraad De Smedt. The Bergen University Library organized a panel debate on Oct. 5, 2012 at its workshop on Developing Research Support. Koenraad De Smedt participated on behalf of CLARINO. Koenraad De Smedt gave a talk on CLARIN at the NORDUnet 2012 conference in Oslo on Sep. 18. CLARINO and META-NORD were presented by Koenraad De Smedt at the 2nd Trondheim Workshop in Language Description and Documentation on Sep. 13, 2012. The TypeCraft database is relevant as a possible infrastructure component. Koenraad De Smedt og Rune Kyrkjebø deltok på CLARIN-D-møtet i Leipzig, 27.-28. juni 2012. Her er en oppsummering skrevet av Martin Wynne. The National Library of Norway, in cooperation with CLARINO, is holding a Workshop on the Interoperability of Metadata on June 5, 2012. Participation by invitation only. CLARINO avholdt sitt oppstartmøte 4. juni i Nasjonalbiblioteket, Oslo. To nye europeiske prosjekter handler om forskningsdata. EUDAT utforsker generiske løsninger uavhengig av fag, mens DASISH retter seg mot problemer innen samfunnsfag og humaniora. Resultatene fra disse prosjektene kommer til å ha betydning for CLARINO. Idag 12. april 2012 er offisiell startdato for CLARINO. Dette prosjektet utgjør Norges bidrag til konstruksjon og drift av en europeisk forskingsinfrastruktur for språkdata. Konsortiet som utfører prosjektet består av UiB (koordinator), UiO, NHH, UIT, Uni Research og NTNU, med Nasjonalbiblioteket og Uninett som assossierte partnere. |
