Norway has applied for observer status in two European infrastructure projects, ESS and CLARIN, as reported by the Research Council. This means that Norway can participate in CLARIN committees. Norway will also have a representative at the National Coordinators Forum, but without a vote until Norway can become a full member of the CLARIN ERIC.

The CLARINO infrastructure is built and operated by its consortium members and by the Research Council of Norway.
